We work in Nairobi with Kutoka.
Kutoka means ‘exit’ in Kiswahili, which is the language of East Africa. Kutoka is the largest organisation in Nairobi with the aim of helping slum dwellers to improve their lives and get out of the slums.
It is run by the Catholic Church. The organisation helps everyone in the slums. In Kibera it has extensive programmes organised from Christ the King church, Our Lady of Guadalupe church & St Michael’s church as well as other churches in most of the Kibera villages and sub parishes.
Kutoka is involved in education, health, HIV/AIDS, adult training, sport and human rights issues.
