Kibera UK - The Gap Year Company - sends volunteers to help in the Kibera slum in Kenya.

• Kibera UK is a charity that helps volunteers work in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya.
• Volunteers can be from anywhere in the world. You should be aged 18+, educated, keen, determined, fit & healthy and compassionate.
• Jobs available: assisting in schools, Medical Clinics, orphanages, job training, helping with basic human rights and also organising sport.
• Job duration: Minimum 3 months.
• This is ideal for volunteers who wish to take a Gap Year in Kenya before or after University.

Kibera is situated 5kms southwest of Nairobi, housing almost 1 million people in one of the largest settlements in Africa. The people are living in extreme poverty and much help is needed.

Kibera UK will organise your visit including your accommodation and job placement. We take no money from you. You save up, pay your own airfare and hostel costs but we will be helping, organising and advising.

Our Nairobi Partners are Kutoka who are based at Guadalupe Church just outside Kibera, Christ the King Church in Kibera & Soweto Baptist Church in Kibera.

Estimated cost for 3 months volunteer work plus 2 weeks holiday is GBP 1,600 (USD 3200, Eur 2400).
